Advantages of Illustrator to Photoshop? : AdobeIllustrator
I have been working with PS a long time. I recently got a graphic design job and I'm having a really hard time seeing any clear benefit of Illustrator over Photoshop. The tools seem to accomplish less, the swatch/ fill system seems bulky and atrocious compared to Photoshop's intuitive color system. And etc.
The only real advantage I can see is the vector vs raster aspect. I'm not trying to dig at Illustrator, I would just like some explanation as to why exactly I should use Illustrator over PS and when the use of one or the other is more appropriate.
