Dell cuts £519 off its powerful XPS 15 with an OLED display
You have to move pretty fast when it comes to getting the best Black Friday deals. Case in point, the deal Dell has on its XPS 15, which knocks a huge £520 off a high-spec model .
Normally, Dell has the XPS 15 with an eight-core Intel Core i9-9980HK, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe storage, and a 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 priced at £2,519.
That high-price not only reflects the high spec, but also the OLED rather than LCD display the high-end XPS 15 uses. This means colours are more vibrant and the panel can deliver better contrast than Dell’s LCD screens.
But this Black Friday “Mega Deal” has seen the price drop to £1,999, which is a very good price for a machine with such a specification.
The combination of powerful internals and an OLED display means the XPS 15 will not only chew through every day computing tasks but also take video rendering and demanding photo editing in its stride. Furthermore, it can handle some gaming, providing one is prepared to adjust some settings, and the OLED is excellent for watching videos and movie on.
When compared to other 15-inch laptops, such as Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 3 15 and the MacBook Pro 15, this configuration of XPS 15 offers a lot more performance potential for its price. And neither the Surface Laptop 3 15 or MacBook Pro 15 offer OLED displays at all, let alone for £2,000.
Dell also offers a year’s worth of premium support and onsite service to ensure that any problems you might encounter with your XPS 15 can be fixed without incurring extra charges.
You’ll need to move quickly to secure yourself a high-end XPS 15, as the deal lasts as long as stock lasts. It also ends midnight 26 November, so you have but a handful of hours to get your hands on the discounted portable powerhouse.
