I'm a student and I have a huge project due in a week and illustrator has suddenly decided to fuck me up. When I make a shape, like a rectangle, it will show anchor points and bounding box but no transform handles. I've just spent an hour searching everything I could find online and I've failed to find a solution. I don't know if it might just be a glitch at this point, but show edges and show bounding box are on, ive tried selecting free transform too and even that illustrator how illustrator show handles. The only way I've been able to get my transform handles to appear is by adding gradient mesh lines to my shape.

　　Someone please help. I'm stressed out and frustrated and on the verge of a breakdown in the computer lab at 8pm.
