This article will show you how to install Virtual Dj 6, the audio mixing/ DJing software. Virtual DJ is a software developped by Atomix Productions and is one if the most popular tool among amateur and pro DJs. It is available on Mac and PC.

Installation and Configuration

Download and launch the installation

Choose the installation folder (eg C://Program Files / ..), keep the default option.

Choose language

Accept the EULA

Finish installation

Restart your PC to finalize the installation

A Virtual DJ icon will automatically be displayed on your desktop.

Getting Started

Once you open the software, you will be asked to perform updates.

The Workspace

The workspace is divided in several sections:

Two turntables

A mixing station

4 tabs: browser, sampler, effects, record

A SETUP button, located top right, allows you to configure your settings.

Simply drag individual audio files from the file explorer to the sampler and start your new audio project.
